Can You Hear Me? I'm Buried Under This Pile of Submissions!

February 12, 2007 | 826 Blog Post

At some point on this blog I mentioned that the literary journal we do with the Neutral Zone, Vacansopapurosophobia: The Fear of a Blank Page, or V2, as we’re calling it this year, was going to be even bigger and better than last year.

Well, friends, with great claims come great…um…quantities of submissions, apparently. Hundreds upon hundreds of area students submitted their stories, poems, and essays to this year’s journal. Our fearless team of editors—Kerry, Maggie, Harper, and Carli—appear, thus far, undaunted. We’ve accepted a number of wonderful pieces that we’re honestly overjoyed to be publishing. Unfortunately, that’s all we can tell you. No hints, no spoilers; you’ll have to wait until May, just like everyone else (except the editors and me).

The release party seems a long way off, but I can tell you from experience: blink and it will be here. Monday, May 21st, at 7:30pm, at the Neutral Zone, join us for the release of V2. Until then, I can tell you this much: it’s going to be awesome.
