Last night, we celebrated the release of In the Zone at Ozone House in Ypsilanti. In the Zone is the product of a two-month long collaboration between 826michigan and Ozone House, a community-based nonprofit dedicated to providing safety, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and a continuum of support services to runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth. Superintern Rachel Lieberman has spent Tuesday evenings with these uber-creative, uber-intelligent, and, if last night was any indication, uber-energetic teens all summer. Photography, haiku, prose, collages, comics, and assorted-other-things-it’s-hard-to-put-a-word-to are all showcased in this fine ’zine. What does it look like, you ask? A-ha! I brought my camera:
