Feature of the Month: The Secret Life of Winter

March 9, 2011 | 826 Blog Post

Workshop leaders Jane Hayes and Ami Walsh taught a fantastic 826michigan workshop in Nichols Arboretum in February of 2011, right in the middle of a glorious snow shower! After Jane led us through the Arb, Ami recorded our students reading the poetry they composed for the occasion (and some of this composition took place right in the snow!). Follow this link to The Secret Life of Winter video, and let the student voices tell you the rest of the story, or press play below!

Many thanks to Jane and Ami for leading this workshop, to John Baird for his beautiful photographs, and to our students for capturing the cold wonder of a Michigan winter with their poetry.
