Hark! The Herald Androids Sing

December 2, 2013 | 826 Blog Post

Starting at 7pm this Friday, December 6, 826michigan and the Liberty Street Robot Supply & Repair will once again join the Main Street Area Association for Midnight Madness, a late-night holiday shopping extravaganza. The LSRS&R features unique products, including the Whistling Femur and a variety of Emotion Upgrades for robots, as well as 826michigan’s student publications. From 7pm to midnight, each of our beautifully designed and professionally bound student publications will be 20% off, including Don’t Stay Up So Late: Bedtime Stories By Children, For Children and the most recent edition of the 826michigan OMNIBUS, the annual anthology of student works compiled from all of 826michigan’s programs.

While we love participating in Midnight Madness every year, we’re especially excited this year because we have a new product line to introduce to holiday shoppers. Designed by Oliver Uberti, ‘Ohm’ features items made for the enlightened robot owner like Robot Essential Oils, a Mind Opener, and Liberty Street Robot Supply & Repair yoga mats. Our store robots all agree that the holiday season can get a little hectic, so the ‘Ohm’ products come at just the right time – be sure to stop in and stock up!

And that’s not all! It wouldn’t be a holiday celebration without some cheerful revelry, and we’re prepared to celebrate the season the only way we at 826michigan know how. For the duration of Midnight Madness, 826michigan volunteers will don robotic costumes and come together every hour as the Liberty Street Robot Supply & Repair’s cybernetic crew of carolers, the famed Bot Choir, entertaining shoppers with such timeless holiday classics as “It Came Upon a Robot Clear” and “Walking in a Robotic Wonderland.” It’s a spectacle not to be missed! Come on out to the Main Street area this Friday for holiday fun that will keep you feeling warm and cheery through the night!
