New Year, New Calendar – Here's What You Need To Know

December 20, 2013 | 826 Blog Post

Season’s greetings, friends! As our office robots prepare for the coming break (because robots, too, deserve a break), we would like to highlight some important dates for programming in the new year. Drop-in Writing at both Liberty Street and Washington Street locations will resume Monday, January 13. Teen and Youth Drop-in Writing workshops at the Ypsilanti District Library Michigan Avenue branch will resume January 13 and 14, respectively; Youth Drop-in Writing at the Whittaker Road branch will resume Wednesday, January 15.

Here on Liberty Street, Monday Drop-in Writing sessions will be held January 27; February 3, 10, and 24; and March 3, 10, 17 and 24. Drop-in Writing for Wee-Bots resumes Wednesday, January 29.

In workshops news, our winter workshop schedule comes out Tuesday, January 21, and registration begins Wednesday, January 22. Check back at www.826michigan.org/workshops!

The Liberty Street Robot Supply & Repair will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, but open for most of the remaining holiday week, including Christmas Eve morning. The store is typically open from 10am to 8pm, but if you plan on stopping by, be sure to give us a call first. Our store volunteers are dedicated, but unforeseen situations can arise. For store questions, call (734) 761-3463, or shop anytime at www.onwardrobots.com.

And last, but certainly not least, is Mittenfest VIII! Join us December 27 through 31 at Woodruff’s Bar in Ypsilanti for a rockin’ year-end party to benefit 826michigan’s programs. Check www.mittenfest.org for schedules and lineups!
