When we invited local students to drop in to 826michigan to write this summer, we, ummm….didn’t quite realize what we were getting into. Since we started this program, kids are coming in here by the dozen, pencils and notebooks in hand. We have a whole crew of regular writers and new people show up each time, too. The atmosphere in the writing lab ranges from totally wild, with every single person laughing to very, very, you-can-hear-a-pin-drop quiet. See below.
