…But for now, we just want to expand on a couple of things.

1. Read for the Record: Help us break a world record! Join us in the lab at 826 on Thursday, August 24 at 4pm. In conjunction with Ypsilanti’s Jumpstart, we’ll host a reading of The Little Engine That Could, along with people from all over the world, in an effort to break the world record for the most people reading the same book in one day. Email Amy to reserve your space. All ages are welcome at this free event!

2. 826 One-Year Anniversary Picnic! Join us at West Park’s band shell in Ann Arbor on 8/26 to celebrate our first year! Music provided by Chris Bathgate, The Victrolas, and Steven Rajewski & Ryan Howard. Bring your own picnic basket to this free event and hang out with us from 2-5pm. Everyone’s welcome! For more information, email Amy.

3. Psst! We’ll be posting parts of the fall schedule within the month. The whole thing will be up in the middle of September, but some workshops will be available for registry sometime very soon…keep checking this website! And here’s a sneak peak at some of the workshops we’ll be offering: The 7ft Woman from Ohio Roleplaying Workshop, Cliches Kill: Don’t Be Boring, The Creamy Filling, Nonsense is Better Than No Sense At All, Explosive Beginnings & Killer Endings, and a ten-week songwriting workshop for teens.
