Sarah is a rock star student in the School of Education at the University of Michigan. Last spring, she held a store shift and served students in the Adams Creative Writing Club as a volunteer. This summer, she took her commitment to 826michigan to the next level, as an intern. This is where she really blew us away.
The super cool online writing gallery that you can find if you CLICK HERE is totally Sarah’s fault. She took on a lead role in organizing our students’ writing and researching cool online outlets for the writing to be displayed. She also led the charge in creating and designing the online gallery’s website, collecting student writing, training the staff and other interns in how to use edit the website, and overseeing every aspect of the publication process.  She also helped design and bring into being the Wee-Bots chapbook, which creatively left space for students to illustrate each story included in the collection. We think that’s amazing enough, but not Sarah. She stepped up to lead our Wee-Bots program, several sessions of Drop-in Writing and held down TWO store shifts.
Sarah is calm, cool, collected, and a perfectionist in our favorite sense of the word. She also has the best pants and a very enviable fashion sense. Thank you Sarah for all that you do!
