The 826michigan OMNIBUS 12 is the most recent edition of our annual anthology of excellent student writing across 826michigan programs. This year’s book is special in many ways, including that it features writing from this spring and early summer, as our students navigated the challenges and uncertainties of that time. Our students have poignant and beautiful insights to share. Their imaginations take readers to other realities that are fascinating and hilarious. The publication highlights the innovation of the 826michigan community and what can happen when we all come together (virtually, for now) even in the most difficult circumstances.
We asked our students and families how they would like to celebrate this publication release, and we heard from them interest in having a video that showcases the book and highlights the community’s pride for our students. We had a blast collecting clips of students reading their pieces and from community celebrities cheering them on; please check out the beautiful video tribute here.
